There are two brands of ballroom and Latin shoes I highly recommend – International Dance Shoes and Supadance. International Dance Shoes and Supadance shoes are designed for competitive professional dancers. They come in a variety of styles and have double reinforced steel shanks, pliable suede soles, strong straps, and they look great!

If you haven’t bought ballroom or Latin dance shoes before and you live in Los Angeles, Champion is the store for you. This store has a great selection of Supadance dance shoes as well as a knowledgeable staff. Work with them to make sure you get a good fit. If you buy white satin shoes (and are planning on dying them to match your skin or to match your dance costume), I recommend purchasing the dye and dying them yourself. It’s easy and will save you money as well as driving time. If you are not sure about the fit, hold ’t get them dirty.
