Mary Scanlon grew up performing in local theatre in Delaware. She moved to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California, where she earned a BA in theatre with a minor in Musical Theatre. She has worked as an actress, dancer, and choreographer in stage, film, commercial, and television productions. She specializes in partner dances including ballroom, Latin, salsa, swing, tango, hustle, and country.

Her technical expertise, creative choreography, and fun teaching style have made her a much sought after dance coach and choreographer. She has traveled throughout the country and abroad entertaining audiences with her performances and sharing her passion for dance with everyone from young children to seasoned professionals.
